Mississippi Delta Cultural Immersion Excursions
The Delta Center for Culture and Learning at Delta State University promotes greater understanding of Mississippi Delta culture and history and its significance to the world through education, partnerships, and community engagement. The Delta Center manages various educational cultural heritage development projects including the:
Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area, a cultural heritage development partnership with the National Park Service;
International Delta Blues Project; and
Mississippi Delta Experiential Learning Excursions, which includes the National Endowment for the Humanities Most Southern Place on Earth workshops.
Whether you are a resident or a visitor, the Mississippi Delta is rich with opportunities for place-based experiential learning. Please click above to complete our Mississippi Delta Cultural Immersion Excursions information form to tell us more about yourself and your group, along with the kinds of topics that you and your group hope to learn more about.
Please note that our Excursions generally begin at The Delta Center for Culture and Learning, which is located in Ewing Hall Suite 103 at Delta State University. For driving directions to The Delta Center, use our "How To Find Us" guide.
It is highly preferred that all Excursions information forms be submitted at least a month in advance of your planned Excursion start date.
College and university faculty who are interested in integrating Excursions into their courses are encouraged to submit the information form during the syllabus development stage of their course. If a course syllabus has already been developed, please share it with us at info@msdeltaheritage.com.
