Tours of the Delta
Private Tours of the Delta led by the Director of the Delta Center for Culture and Learning, Dr. Mandy Truman
Private tours through the Delta Center for Culture and Learning are designed to be a stress-free and thoughtful introduction to a region that is as complex as it is beautiful. These journeys are personally arranged with the goal of providing a full, immersive experience that captures the spirit of the Delta.
I approach every itinerary with a genuine passion for this landscape, striving to ensure that guests feel the same sense of connection and wonder that I felt during my very first trip here. Drawing on my doctoral background in cultural geography, I work to bridge the gap between academic history and the living culture of the region. Whenever possible, I am honored to facilitate opportunities for you to learn from the community members who are the experts of these stories, ensuring that our time is grounded in shared history and professional respect.
Whether we are exploring the history of the blues, landmarks of the Civil Rights Movement, or just cruising around listening to some music, meeting locals, enjoying local food, and observing the Delta landscape, each trip is thoughtfully curated with care. You will truly experience Mississippi Delta culture.
